The Truck-N-Show Pancake Breakfast sponsored by the Waupun Lions will be held on August 14 at the Rock River Intermediate School in Waupun (previously known as the Waupun Middle School). Parking is available west of the school. Breakfast starts at 7:00 AM and continues until 11:00 AM. The all-you-care-to-eat breakfast features pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, coffee, juice and milk. Breakfast prices are as follows: $7.00 for adults; $5.50 for children ages four through ten, and children under four eat free. A free shuttle service will be available from the Community Center to the site of the breakfast and back for those wishing to partake of the breakfast.

Reduced price advance tickets are available at the office of Jan’s Optical in Waupun. The Lions appreciate local support for their fundraising efforts. Over 85% of the funds raised are returned to the local community.

Waupun Lions fundraisers for 2010 include the Community Birthday Calendar at five dollars per calendar. The calendar lists birthdays and anniversaries of family and friends of those who purchased a calendar. If you are interested in ordering, please contact a Waupun Lions Club member.

During 2009 over $10,000 was distributed to local and state projects. Major local recipients included the Waupun Library, the Waupun Food Pantry, local youth and sports activities, the visually handicapped, families in need and annual college scholarships for deserving students.

The Waupun Lions Club also contributes to the Foreign Eyesight Project and the Wisconsin Lions Camp in Rosholt, Wisconsin which provides a rewarding camping experience for the disabled and handicapped of Wisconsin.
